Deep, dark brown color where no light passes through the glass anywhere. Nearly no bubbles on the pour. No lace.
Strong roasted coffee nose. Think unsweetened coffee. Very dry and bitter.
The flavor is like the smell. This is closer to a dry stout than a milk stout. Lots of coffee throughout. Decent body with a muted carbonation. The brewery roasts their own beans and always creates a side keg for experimentation. Long coffee aftertaste. Perhaps you can detect a theme—coffee lovers will wish to seek this out.
