dark pour with great firm head lot of malt taste all different flavor in every sip a great beer to enjoy

Deep, dark brown body, opaque and black looking in the glass; rich, creamy, light brown head, lasting; dense sheet of foam coats the glass interior. Huge dark ale aroma; cocoa and dark chocolate; vanilla lurking in the background; chocolate graham cracker. Deep chocolate flavor infused with a subliminal booziness; a bit of grain char and associated bitterness; vanilla brightness and sweetness slightly offsets the chocolate. Very heavy body; smooth and velvety, nearly sludgy; crude oil thick.
A beer so big and chewy you can take a bite out of it -- well, it certainly seems like you could. And it's delicious enough that you probably wish you could. The heavy, dark malt sweetness plus the vanilla and cacao nibs is put together very nicely. I didn't get a whole lot of the pistachio presence (some, but not a lot). I also appreciate this one not being barrel aged (although I'd certainly try a version if there is one). The beer is big enough as is without needing additional flavoring techniques. Regardless, this is certainly one to try if you're a fan of big stouts.

Very dark almost black pour. Leaves a coppery colored film on the glass. Almost a syrupy consistency when pouring. Chocolate and roasted nuts on the nose. Very sweet with notes of vanilla, chocolate, biscotti, and coffee. Slightly bitter on the finish. Overall a great beer.

Pours dark as motor oil, with a solid dark brown head. Good retention and very nice lacing.
Rich but understated aroma, with notes of cola, toast, caramel, chocolate, coffee, and prune.
Flavor is similarly rich, with classic imperial stout notes and a nice amount of boozy heat, complemented by the nuts, cacao, and vanilla. Tasting notes include caramel, toast, vanilla, chocolate, espresso. It's not over the top, drinking far easier than it should given the 13% ABV. Thick and chewy, and while you can feel it's a big beer, it still drinks much smoother than its ancient predecessors (a la Narwhal and Ten Fidy) that clocked in at much lower potency.
