Decent head production and great retention.
Very chocolatey aroma, along with vanilla, cookie dough, coffee, and caramel. It does indeed smell like chocolate and cream cookies.
Flavor follows. For all the richness, there's still a noticeable bitterness, albeit not particularly strong. There's a definite barley character, as well. Additional tasting notes include chocolate, molasses, brown sugar, caramel, toffee, prune, vanilla, cookie dough, espresso.
Thick and chewy, with a decent amount of bite.
