Canned 6/6/23
It’s not too often you see a Kettle Sour that uses plum as an adjunct, but it sounds good as a wintery beer for a typically summery style. This is also my first beer from Tox which I’ve heard great things about. Let’s crack it open and see what’s going on
Pours an opaque pinkish orange with 2 fingers of orange white head that slowly fades to a thin ring and leaves decent lacing
The nose is tart and fruity, but it’s surprisingly grainy as well. I’m picking up on aromas of cherry skin, tart plum, graham cracker, cereal grain, lemon zest, vanilla, and a touch of milk chocolate
It’s a bit sweeter in taste, but still just as good ad the aroma led me to believe. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting sweet cherry, brown sugar, tart plum, graham cracker, vanilla, orange juice, and lemon zest. The swallow brings notes of black cherry, cranberry, tart plum, lemon zest, vanilla, orange juice, brown sugar, and cereal grain
A medium body pairs with gentle prickly carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes neutral and balanced
It’s nothing amazing but it’s definitely fun beer. I need to try more from Tox
