My brother who lives in Atlanta gave me a 6 pack of beers from local breweries from there. I always like trying beer from other small, regional craft breweries who's stuff doesn't get distributed where I live, so this was a very cool Christmas gift from my brother. Poured out of a 16 oz. can into one of my tulip glasses, this beer pours a slightly cloudy/hazy amber/copper color with a few streams of little bubbles rapidly and continuously rising to the beer's surface. Has a white head that's initially an inch thick when first poured that settles to a thick surface coating of foam and a thick ring lining the inside of the glass. Aromas of some bready, slightly toasted, caramel malt sweetness along with some definite potato and a bit of a rustic, barnyard-esque funkiness. The taste is pretty much the same, with some bready, toasted, caramel malt sweetness that gives way to some potato that adds a nice additional sweetness along with a hint of spice and certainly a note of barnyard funkiness and a slight trace of earthy hops. Has a crisp, slightly prickly, also frothy and even slightly creamy, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with fairly heavy carbonation. Has a good, sweet aftertaste. A pretty good beer here all around. Glad I got the chance to try this. A nice take on this style.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
