Cask at Alaro Craft Brewery, Sacramento, CA
A: The beer is crystal clear but very dark red in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with no head or collar on the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of toasted coconut are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of toasted coconut along with hints of vanilla.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really liked the coconut flavors in the Scottish Ale. It also did a good job at masking the alcohol from the taste.
