First from Urban Roots; 16oz can poured into a Level Belgian-style tulip
p- cloudy light org; 1-2f foamy white head
n- med nose of tropical notes, guava, peach, and some spiciness
t- stone and tropical fruits over crackery malt; peach pit finish with some spiciness and yeastiness to boot; not a bad profile- was hoping for a little more oomph, though
mf- full-bodied with med-high carb
o- a decent drinker; although not quite memorable enough to warrant a repeat buy

1st review of this beer on BA. Picked up a 4 or 6 pack during Sacramento (Sac) Beer Week. Scored this at the source. Dude, their food is so good just to think about.
Pours hazy but kinda bright colored yellow, 3/4" white head. Aroma pops hops man, good to see Strata here, nice change of pace, but there is also the super ubiquitous for a reason Citra that delivers. In addition to those tropical and citrus notes, you then get the reliably consistent pineapple notes out of the Galaxy hop. Damn, I'm not sure about Strata, but this is like a 2-3 aroma hop kinda beer.
Taste is even better than the nose, all those candied up fruit notes without any feeling of sweetness. Relatively dry finish, very good at hiding the alcohol which is not insubstantial. While there is nothing novel about this beer, the more important part of the review is that it is fun and enjoyable to drink. I had these for about 3 months and even at the end of that lifespan they were still good to drink with minimal drop off. Reliable stuff, highly expect to pick up more cans if its on when I'm there next week.
