5/19/22 4th anniversary batch! Sweet citrus hoppy, slightly malty, and hint of floral lemony nose on this one! Taste follows with a pineapple juicy, tropical hoppy, and subtle citrus bitter finish. This is pretty good.

Canned 5/20/21. Says third anniversary release. It's easy to overlook the fact that this is an imperial IPA due to the busy artwork on the label. Did not come across as a typical citra-dominated hops profile, minimal bitterness and more sweet tropical fruit. Entirely opaque, minimal head.
An interesting take on the style. Not sure I'd buy this again.

3 week old can into a tulip.
A: Dirty brown bronze with 2+ fingers of variable density white head with moderate retention and left sheeting and clumpy lacing.
S: Tropical, but heavy papaya and pineapple.
T: Follows the nose well, adds in a pine/earthy dimension. Finishes with some bitterness slight acidity, clears palate quickly.
F: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, silky on the tongue, slight drying of the palate on the swallow.
O: Nice beer, but I'm tiring of 8% DIPAs. Looking for more 6% pales/IPAs or something in the lager spectrum. Big limited bitterness DIPAs sell though, so I get it.

Canned 05/23/19
Appearance - Pours hazy and pale orange with an off-white, near two-finger width head. Good retention before breaking down to a thin, broken layer of suds. Nice a,ount of lacing, taking the form of broken sheeting, lines and small spotting.
Smell - Pineapple is big on the nose, with lesser orange, melon and papaya.
Taste - Follows the nose. Lots of mild pineapple, orange, papaya and a hint of melon by mid-taste. Juicy. Slight acidic but nicely balanced finish.
Mouthfeel - On the fuller side of medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Soft, pillowy texture makes this a damn smooth drinker with a lightly creamy but slightly dry finish.
Overall - Delicious. Great 1st anniversary release. Urban Roots continues to impress me with their latest releases.

Citrus, stone fruits, and piney aroma. Flavor follows in a more amplified fashion. Feel is medium with some astringency, ok smooth, would benefit from a bit more body. Overall, really solid hazy DIPA.
