Many thanks to @jakecattleco for the opportunity to sample this impressive ipa.
Poured into a 12 ounce riedel wine glass, this beer pours a surprising pale gold color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, the simcoe really shines, as I pick up onion, dank earth and underlying dry citrus and tropical fruit. The flavor profile replicates the nose, in this well balanced, easy to appreciate ipa. The finish is dry and moderately bitter, with the alcohol very well integrated into the flavor profile. There's just a brightness to the flavor profile that is especially attractive in this beer. Drinkability is quite good in this well crafted ipa.
Very happy to have the opportunity to sample this excellent beer from Urban Roots.

Can labelled Solo Project 08/13/20 into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
L: Gorgeous optically, bright golden with 2+ fingers sticky head with moderate retention and left thick ringed lacing.
S: Nice bright nose, earthy, dank and pine. Subtle berries and citrus hiding underneath.
T: Follows the nose well, but with more citrus prominence. Finishes with moderate bitterness and a hint of acidity, both linger pleasantly on the palate a bit.
F: Low-medium bodied with higher carbonation, slick on the tongue an swallow.
O: Lots to like here, very approachable excellent Simcoe single-hop brew. Glad I grabbed a 4pk, and will happily buy again.
