Huge gobs of roasted malts, melted chocolate, coffee, caramelized toffee, toasted bread and definitely raspberries. The carbonation is just enough to keep it from being cloying and the raspberry isn't overpowering which is what I was afraid so that's good.
What isn't good is how tilted the scales are towards the sweet side of things. It's in desperate need of more bitterness to balance it out. I understand it's a pastry stout and they're going for a dessert beer but they went a little too far here in my opinion. It's well made for what it is just not my jam.
