Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance - The beer is served golden amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades fast leaving a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma of the brew is big of a grainy smell mixed with a little bit of caramel and bread. Along with a touch of grass and hay one is left with a nice crisp and clear aroma.
Taste - The taste begins with a nice grainy and bready taste that has a decent carmel sweetness. There is a bit of hay and grass that come at the end, leaving one with a grainy, but smooth and easy going flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is medium with a moderate level of carbonation. For the style the feel is great and makes for a easy drinking brew.
Overall - A nice easy drinking pilsner overall. Rather nice, flavorful, and refreshing.

i am surprised to see such low ratings on this, i thought it was fantastic and my dad loved it. its been the saisons and wild types that i have liked the most from these guys so far, but its nice to see them tackle a sessionable old world style like this and nail it so well, not sure why it hasnt scored more favorable ratings here on BA. its clear and yellow golden in the glass with a high white head, airy and delicate. aroma of classic german malts, a little more sweetness than i am used to in a kolsch, and the crispness of cold conditioning of this german yeast. its simple beer, but its all put together right, the minerals and water profile is dialed for the style, the light noble hop finish keeps it brisk and fresh, and its so clean, even though there is a touch of sweetness in the middle of the taste. so many blondes and pales and simple lagers and kolsch types in texas, i feel like the weather in the summer has made that mandatory at each brewery, and this one was better than most we had on our trip. vista is an amazing place to visit too, not to be missed! solid kolsch, underrated.
