Served on tap at the brewery in a nicely-dimpled mug.

Look: Clear amber, with a 1” off-white head with decent retention, reducing to a foam ring with a little lacing.

Nose: Full, sweet malt, exactly like a Märzen should smell.

Attack: Folliws the nose even more intensely — very full-flavored.

Finish: Some bitterness to balance; more, actually than I’m accustomed to in a Märzen.

Mouthfeel: Medium-thin — appropriate to style — with adequate carbonation.

Overall: Quite good. I love the full flavor of the attack — probably more than any other Märzen I’ve had. If the bitterness would be just a bit less, I’d probably rate the taste at a 4.5. Still, I’d happily order and drink this again — the nose and attack are that good.

12 ounce can, can't read the date stamp on the bottom of the can but assuming it's the 2024 version. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a dimpled mug, the beer pours a mostly clear amber color with not quite an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like toasted malt, caramel, bready malt, toffee and some herbal hops. Taste is similar to the aroma, I think the toasted and bready malt flavors stand out compared to the others. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and smooth with a good amount of carbonation. I thought it was a good Märzen, certainly worth trying if you get the chance!

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid little fest pours a clear
light amber with a moderate head of white foam that settles to a thin ring
with faint lacing. Nose of toasted malts, cereal grain notes, caramel, and
light herbal hops. Flavors follow the nose but exceed with a fine presentation of
toasted malts, caramel, medium heavy grain notes, and balanced herbal hops.
Mouth feel is medium, light carbonation, smooth, and finishing with a grain and
caramel finish balanced lightly with herbal hops.

Overall, a solid little fest!

Cheers

At the brewery
Medium amber color, not much head.
Toasted malts and a good amount of sweetness.
I liked it!
