From the growler in a snifter via Jungle Jim's Eastgate. This solid little doppel
pours a dark brown chestnut with a moderate head of khaki foam that settles
to a thin ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some nice light lacing. Nose of
light raisin, dark brwon sugars, and dark breaded malts. Flavors expand on the
nose with dark breaded malts, brown sugars, moderate bittering hops, and light
raisin dashed with a subtle peach note. Mouth feel is medium, medium light
carbonation, smooth, and finishing moderately dry.
Overall, a SOLID brew!
Cheers

Dark caramel in color with a tan head. Nose is sweet and bready. Taste is toasted malts with a sweetness too. Nice feel, slightly bitter, but only slightly.

At the brewery in a glass.
Dark amber color with a finger thick off white head, good retention.
Malty sweet taste with a subtle bitterness.
Medium body
A nice brew.
