On tap at Swillburger/The Playhouse in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells kind of metallic and stale, with an astringent roast character, acidic coffee, and old roast. I usually like Brindle Haus, but this doesn't seem promising.
The taste follows suit - this isn't very good. It's metallic, stale, and weirdly fruity, with barely any coffee. It's not an enjoyable pour at all. Basically every other Brindle Haus beer that I've had has been better than this.
This is thin, too bitter, and just not drinkable. I don't want to order this again.
Don't let this review dissuade you from trying Brindle Haus. They are a promising new brewery who didn't nail this one, at all.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
