Pours crystal clear and pale gold with a one inch, creamy white head. After a few minutes, the head has left a thick, fluffy blanket and a tapestry of lace on a pilsner glass. Random columns of tiny, casual carbonation race upward.
The aroma is filled with grains, primarily wheat and barley. Light graham cracker and light, peppery hops follow. Floral notes are faint.
The flavor is crisp, with light bitterness and light sweetness. The peppery hops build and hold in the long, modestly strong finish. Warmth brings out water crackers.
The body is medium to light with a satin texture. Alcohol is light, as expected. Carbonation is lively and prickly.
This Pilsner is well done. I drank the four pack over a couple of weeks, and appreciated the beer much more when it was new. It is just an all around good drinking beer for after work and light conversation, and would be well suited to enjoyment during a ballgame.
