A pleasant ode to my childhood days of playing Donkey Kong Country on Super Nintendo.
Appearance - Pours a mahogany brown with two fingers of chestnut head.
Smell - fruity esters (banana, clove), spicy earthy, floral, and leafy hops, candied sugar, bready wheaty malts, and spicy earthy yeast.
Taste - Nice pleasant fruity esters of banana and clove upfront. The spicy earthy, floral, and leafy hops come through next. The candied sugar, bready wheaty malts and spicy earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes creamy alongside a pleasant stickiness. The fruity esters of banana and the malts linger as well.
Overall - A pleasant and highly drinkable dunkelweizen. This is my first offering from this brewery and I must say I'm impressed. Loads of flavour and highly sessionable.
