A cold brew caramel coffee kölsch.
Brewed with local coffee from Raefen Coffee Roasters based in Edmonton.
Appearance - Pours a caramel colour with two fngers of foamy white head.
Smell - earthy, leafy, and floral hops, mild caramel and coffee bean, bready malts, lemon and earthy yeast.
Taste - earthy, leafy, and floral hops upfront. Then it goes into the caramel and coffee bean which are more present then the aromas. The bready malts, lemon, and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes crisp and dry with the caramel and coffee bean, and lemon lingering.
Overall - A different take on the style by adding cold brew and caramel. It makes for an interesting drinking experience. This may not be for everyone but it is a push on the kölsh style.
