A: slight haze; amber in color; less than a 1 finger off white head that receded quickly to a thin collar; nice lacing;

S: toffee, sweet malt, a bit of raisin, a hint of fruitcake;

T: a little coffee from start to finish; pumpernickel bread; almost no bitterness;

M: medium bodied; light to moderate carbonation; dry finish;

O: not a great example of the style, but enjoyable none the less;

Bought a 6-pack to try. The beer was WAY over carbonated. Flavor profile was undetectable due to the overcarbonation. Very disappointing...

Pours clear, light brown in color, with 3/4 inch head. Taste is similar to a brown ale, light toasted malt, cocoa powder, light woodiness. Tasty, sessionable, quality ale from Thimble Island. I like other beers that they make more, but this one is solid.

Bottle > Snifter

A - Clear amber with a two finger soapy white head, medium lacing
S - Big roasty malt, toasted caramel and grains, bread.
T - Lots of malt and nutty quality to this, almost a brown ale kind of quality, but definitely more grainy and earthy.
M - Kinda thin and leaves a weird bitterness.
O - Not a bad stock ale, but wish it had more complexity.

Had at the brewery last night, comes out a dark amber color like a red ale, clear, with a nice white head. Smell is sweet, hint of raisin, nice malts going on, no hops. Taste is malty, bready, some caramel, very quick flavor through the swallow. Feel is very dry, very bubbly, fairly light bodied. Overall unimpressed, kind of a middle of the road beer like American Ale.
