Crowler from brewery. Light golden, clear, thin head, streaky lacing. Not hazy. This is more likely a NW pale ale. Aroma features biscuit malts, light fruity sweetness. Taste brings a pronounced, dry bitterness, bready notes, and the faintest hint of sweet. Dryness lingers long after your done.

i found it a little peculiar that the tap handle of this beer says hazy on it, but the beer pours almost perfectly clear. i am certainly not complaining, as i generally prefer them this way, but to promote it as hazy and then have it not be seems odd, nobody who looks at this would call it hazy, at least in my experience at prefunk downtown yesterday afternoon. i like the beer a lot though, kind of basic and light, but with some solid hop bitterness to it, maybe less distinct than the other hoppy stuff i have had from these guys so far, but thats okay in a beer like this, seemingly designed for all day drinking, i dont need it to be interesting, i just need it to be good. there is wonderful dryness here from the simplicity of the grain base and the completeness of the fermentation, its fast finishing for how flavorful it is, and i really like that in this style. i also like the piney aroma of the hops and the balanced, more full spectrum hop flavors. its a pale ale like many others, but its one of the better ones i have found here locally in boise, so i am glad to be seeing it around town quite a bit. if this isnt a full time beer yet for them, it probably should be. well dialed in.
