16oz crowler from the brewery. Orange golden body, hazy, spritzy head. Fruity aroma, citrus, stone fruit, melon. Taste is everything in the aroma with a nice gentle tartness, not enough to pucker, but enough to leave your gums tingling. Mildly dry

a kettle sour with mango and guava, not a wild ale or even a berliner really, but we somehow still do not have a generic or kettle sour category here on BA. its a nice beer though, only moderately sour, clean and tart without being real acidic, i think they got that part just right for a fruity summer drinker. it has a frothy white head, a pale orange haze, and nice carbonation, better than some others i have had from these guys to date. the fruit is subtle, which makes me think its natural, not candied or cheap or dominant in any way, just bright and uplifting, fermented pretty dry, both about equal in proportion but tough to really pick out as what they are, i get orange and lemon and pineapple notes too. the kettle souring is well done, clean and to the right intensity, while the body still has some fluff to it, wheaty maybe, smartly designed. this is the first sour i have had or seen from these guys, and my lady and i liked it quite well with our thai food tonight. lost grove is staring to emerge as one of my local favorites here...
