Draft at Cottonwood Grille. Milky, cloudy straw body, small dense cap of head. Aroma and taste feature the nice bready, yeasty notes of the German variety, as well as the banana and bubblegum flavors. Pretty good attempt, better than most US versions.

an exceptional hefe here, one of their better true to style beers they do here, at least of the ones i have had. its softly yellow from the tap with a creamy white head and fine lacing, and looks pretty with a lemon on the rim at the dutch goose, but i dont need the fruit. there is already a citrus complexion in the yeast esters, and the wheat is so fresh and full here, its all that i like in the style, and amazingly satisfying and refreshing, especially after a few days without a beer! a really simple but airy feeling and flavorful wheat base to this, white and maybe some raw, its the perfect taste and texture for the yeast here, which is not overdeveloped and has just a light spiciness along with the obvious citrus, maybe a shade off what you might find in germany most of the time, but i have no problem with this being unique to itself, its really very good. minimal hop profile, clean to finish for all the body and esters in it, and with the kind of carbonation that keeps this refreshing. i have been liking these guys more and more lately, i hope they keep this rolling through the summer, i think its the best locally made hefe i have had so far in idaho!
