among my favorite beers from lost grove so far, this is a really delicate session ipa, almost under flavored, which is a nice change of pace from the stupidly over hopped beers that have become the standard in this style. its lightly hazy yellow in the glass, but still really refined looking, glowing softly, and with a very lively white head that rises well above the rim of the glass, a pretty beer for sure. aroma and flavor show a mellow, fresh, and very herbaceous hop profile, some citra maybe, entirely post fermentation perhaps, as there is almost no bitterness in this at all, a light green melon note like i sometimes get from el dorado, but its hard to speculate and dissect, as everything is so cohesive and relaxed in this, its refreshing and crushable, but also is interesting enough to stand out. i get notes of green grape, watermelon rind, and coconut flesh from the hops too, and on such a light, dried out, pale malt base, the hops really pop even though its all so light. bone dry, super clean fermentation, and very well carbonated too. it all comes together to make this a wonderful session ipa, my favorite one around town right now by a mile, and a high point for these guys right now. insanely drinkable, bright, sexy, and modern!
