a tasty low alcohol kettle sour here, done with strawberry and rhubarb, one of the more ambitious beers i have had or seen from lost grove so far. this is lightly rose pink in color with a short white head and a lot of haziness, its murky and maybe not as delicate looking as it could be, but the color is nice and so is the nose. there is a nice back and forth between the sweet strawberry and the rather sour rhubarb, which might even more more tart than the actually lactic souring in the beer, my mouth waters for this, and it all smells very fresh and summery. some lemon in the taste, highlighting the rhubarb, which tastes real natural to me, piquant and distinct, nice with the jammy sweetness of the strawberries and not overdone at all. there is a strong citrus element to this, plenty of wheat giving it a lot of body for its low alcohol content, and a little tang through the finish. plenty drinkable as they go here, not too sweet from the fruit, not too sour from the bacteria, and all of us who sipped on it thought it was very good. nice to see these guys doing more stuff like this lately...
