On-tap in Meridian ID and served in a pint nonic. Clear pale straw colored pour. Lots of yeasty, dry, bready notes with an explosion of vanilla cream sweetness. The palate follows the nose with lots of vanilla, cream, citrus fruitiness and bready characteristics. Finishes mostly sweet with minimal dryness, as expected for the style.

Draft at Lost Grove. Lightly hazed, bright golden, lasting, thick creamy head. Aroma is bready, grainy with light citrus notes. Taste is also focused on the malts, crackers, biscuits, and the orange is more bittering, à la orange peel.

a cool new one from these guys, and orange cream ale, very light and drinkable, nice for summer, and super low alcohol, which i have been seeing more and more of this summer, which i love. this is pretty well done, the base cream ale might not be quite as crisp and patient and clean as i like the style to be, but the beer overall is quite good. the orange is natural, subtle, and a perfect accent flavor in here, giving a lot of character to the finish of this. its not quite at that orange creamsicle level, i dont get any vanilla or lactose or anything like that in the mix, but i do get the natural orange for sure. there might be a little deeper malt profile on this than there needs to be, it doesnt heavy the beer up or anything, but it i think takes away from what i want to be a drier finish, just not as bright and refreshing as it should be, but its still a very easy drinker, best when ice cold. i like that its not overdone on the orange, and i think overall the beer is getting better and better here each time i visit. nice to see some more creative stuff on the menu lately!
