this have been a little less impressive on the beer side here in recent visits, very little new stuff, some quality falloff, and some repeat vibes on the hazy stuff, lots of these tasting similar, and here is another one that doesnt really distinguish itself to me. somewhat hazy but more unrefined, sweet and bitter, metallic a little bit, uninteresting, and kind of big for no reason, i keep waiting for a lost grove beer to really take me there, and it keeps not happening, we hang out here sometimes because its fun, dog friendly, and the pizza is solid, but the beer has become decidedly average i reckon. orange but not bright, average white head from the tap. aroma of sweet toasty malt, autumnal almost even in high summer, with subtle orange marmalade and biscuit sweetness, hops bringing grassiness and citrus candy character as well as ample bitterness, some weird minerality, perhaps imperfect water chemistry, some greenness here too even though overall its not intense for an imperial. the flavor is kind of similar, cooked orange, light pine, generic bitterness, and a slightly oversaturated intensity, vegetal without as much actual hop flavor as anticipated, especially in this style, a little flat or drab, without a ton of personality, green pine cone, maybe a little mango thing, brassy and tinny, bitter and oily, heavy but unnecessarily to me, and also some exposed alcohol, long on the palate, a little sharp, not bad but also it should be way better than it is, which is disappointing, pun intended. medium to fuller body, a little sticky feeling, middle of the road on carbonation, cooked peach and tangerine late, i wanted a bit more from this, overly big without bringing anything particularly distinctive to the table. not sure what is up in here, but quality is down for sure...

Snifter at brewery. Big malt bomb here. Dark, hazy amber, skin of head, solid lacing.Aroma and taste are big, toasty, caramel malts. Taste brings with it some instant bitterness and a bit of heat.
