16oz can pours out that textbook thick glowing dark-gold with a finger of creamy white head. Lots of nondescript juice notes, which sounds weird to me too but this beer was all juice and nothing else, no real flavors of specific fruit, green matter, flower, etc. Creamy body, there is a sense that this has an oat- or wheat-malt base. with a juicy texture, but not that special overall. This Robot series has typically been pretty good for a local hazy IPA, LG seems to know what they're doing, so maybe my can was a bit off...

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Hazy orange golden pour, fluffy white head. Fruity aroma, citrus, stone fruit. Taste is orange juice, peach, fruity. Mild zesty notes and light sweetness. Crushable.

the robot series must mean hazy, i havent had them all, but the ones i have certainly have been, this one included, on tap at big als in meridian, a surprisingly crafty establishment. i am pretty sure this is the one they are pouring now. its not overly hazy, better refined than a recall some of their others being, uniquely hopped too, super herbal and fragrant, amazingly fresh to me, and not overdone on the dry hopping at all, nothing green or hot, no bite, its clean and bright and tidy, very drinkable, and almost creamy textured to me, silky, dry, and effervescent, some protein maybe, oats, raw wheat, not sure what the grain is, but it appears to me to be more than just pale barley. its fluffy, and the hops have good linger to them, some pine, some stone fruit, some oiliness, hardly bitter at all. there is nice balance to this, its well grounded, beautifully carbonated, and stands as one of the better hoppy beers i have had from these guys to date. a welcome addition to their lineup and one they should keep around awhile!

edit: this is back on tap at the brewery several years later, feels a little heavier and maybe not quite as dialed now, but these guys are the definition of a yoyo when it comes to quality and consistency, some issues there over the years for sure. i still like the hop profile and the grain support, but this isnt close to as good as i remember now. leaving original scores in place to show what it is at its best, hopefully they can get back to that someday...
