great to see this beer going to the land trust, beer for social or environmental good, not enough of that at all, so i love that above all else here, but the beer in the can is nice too, crisp and quick, clearish, balanced almost more like a pale ale, i think the hoppy beer here at lost grove has really improved since the early days, great to see. this has a fruity forward nose to me through the honey type male, a little crystal barley in the back there, nothing too dense, peaches and grapefruit to me, northwest but modern, very fresh, pungent up front. the flavor is very fresh also, some pine to the hop profile, a little pineapple, perhaps a touch of catty mosaic character, but clean through the back half, a little lemon zest freshness too, zippy and bitter on the swallow with an herbal grassy layer and supported well the whole way by the lightly nutty malt profile, seems perfect for colder weather with a little fuller body too, nice build overall on this. it drinks bright and lively, is just distinct enough to be interesting, shows great refinement and attention to detail, and stands up well to spicy food. really dig both the beer and the fundraising effort here.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Cloudy golden with a small creamy head. Sweet grainy aroma, bready, lightly fruity. Taste is biscuit malts, sweet, crisp, dry, with a mild hoppy finish.
