solid hazy here, although between the robots and the disappointeds, its getting hard to know or remember what is what from these guys, but hey, at least its new beer, not enough of that from lost grove recently, so ill take it by any name. matte looking orange toned and a bit hazy but not messy, pretty and thick inch of white head on top, nice retention and lace, even if this might be a tad under carbonated to me. the aroma and flavor are fresh and pleasing, maybe mosaic driven, a hint of simcoe, im guessing, i wish i knew, but i get pineapple, sweet orange, and a little toffee in the malt supporting some wintery pine, not over the top, almost more of a pale in the nose with the lack of hop intensity and grain balance. the flavor is similar, some mango and more tropical fruity hops up front, almost no bitterness later on but some oily hoppy texture to me, married to the medium malt body. weedy notes as it warms, peaches, pine boughs, but quite a bit of malt flavor too. drinks a little stagnant to me, more effervescence would improve this, especially for summer weather, but i think the hop profile is excellent and overall this is a step forward for lost grove, who is slowly evolving into a maker of pretty solid ipa types, confusing as the names are getting. this is tasty and drinkable.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Hazy dark golden pour, thin creamy head. Light fruity aroma, pineapple. Taste adds some tropical notes along with the Idaho 7 bringing earthy notes. Melon, papaya, light bitterness.
