16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Bright golden pour, cap of creamy white head, lively carbonation. Full, bready aroma, biscuity. Taste is malty, bready, mildly sweet with a trailing gentle bitterness. Full mouthfeel, creamy consistency.

another works progress administration beer from these guys, possibly made for treefort, not quite an india pale lager, but more hops than most simple lager types thats for sure, and i like the use of local grain in here, but it does heavy this up just a bit, almost drinks like a pale ale to me, a little more terroir in here, a bit more body, running over the somewhat delicate character of the lager yeast, never sweet at all to me, but sturdy in a way that goes beyond the category, in a good way though. the hops are bold but unexciting, its the malt that makes this for me. light pine and grassy bitterness with just a tad of that cascade type spiciness on the finish, but only after it warms up a little bit, good balance overall. some light bready elements to the grain, minerals, a toasted note, simple but nuanced too, understated maybe. medium body for the style, frothy sudsy feeling with good carbonation. nothing epic, but more intriguing than the average beer in this space. im also curious about this works progress administration beer project, is it an offshoot of lost grove or a separate upstart? seems like a cool idea for a brewery to give back in this way!
