their hazy stuff has gotten quite good, and i look forward to these now. a really unique hop complexion here, mandarina, nelson, and pink, which are new and idaho grown and about to become all the rage i suspect. neat hazy blonde color hear, really pale, backlit and bright looking, not as thick as a lot of these have been and i appreciate the easier mouthfeel, presents as more refined, almost always the case for me with this style. the nose is cool, candied citrus peel, tangerine and clementine specifically, a little noble spice too, and a distinctive springtime herbal element, perhaps from the pink, which can run sweet at times but here seems earthen and slightly vegetal, but not in a harsh or distracting way, subtle green apple, green tea, and alfalfa. all of this is there in the flavor, less of the cotton candy notes from the pink than i have gotten off it in other beers, but most of those were with wet hops, a little more herbal here, and not without some bitterness overall. i like the dryness of the beer, the grain is light and this isnt one of those heavy milky starchy filling ones, plenty drinkable, and with high carbonation too. lime zest, pear, and not quite ripe strawberry as this finishes, a little juniper thing, not crazy intense which is cool, and it seems like its teasing warmer weather, which cant be too far off now. i liked this one, unique on the hop side, a fun combination of varietals, one of the better of these robot series beers so far...
