Our house IPA makes it’s debut on the big system! This is a beer we’ve been biding our time to make. Its the beer we’ve brewed more than any other at Badlands. It’s one we wanted to make right out of the gate in order to use it as a measuring stick for where our IPA game is at on the new system, but we felt it made more sense to wait until we had dialed things in a bit more to more accurately gauge our progress. Now almost a dozen brews in, we feel more comfortable with our processes and results. It’s time to bring our OG hazy back for a tour on the big house and honestly assess where we’re at. We hope you love it as much as we do, and always have.
Bursting with aromatic American hop varietals, Through the Glass is a heavily dry hopped IPA that is bright, juicy and highly aromatic. It’s loaded with aromas of mango, peach and candied citrus that are delivered on a soft, fluffy malt canvas. A delicate mouth feel and gentle, but present, bitterness ensures that this beer never tires the palate.

Can: Poured a clear yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fresh citrus hops undertones with some light juicy notes. Taste is a nice mix of fresh citrus hops undertones with very faint residual sugar notes with some light juicy notes and some bitterness. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nice West Coast style IPA, which drinks quite nicely.

Let's see what the youngsters at the best IPA place in Canada have here.
Once again a lovely, hazy pour, with a whisker of a head. The nose is nice and hoppy and of apricot seed. The taste is the usual beauty of citrus flavours, with a slight bitterness. Once again, it is apricot seeds that I taste the most, with some peach and pine.
Thank you Badlands.

Ok, so first off, the brewery is....a stand in the middle of no where. Pull up and park at the side of the road then mosey on up to the sell shack to place your order whilst locals enjoy lawn games and picnic tables. There is not much to look at this humble shop. Oh, and get there between 12-5 Saturdays because, well, that’s only when it is open! Hey, what kind of place is this? “Why only Satursdays???” I ask the seller? “Because we all have full time jobs and always sell out, but we love what we do”
Alright, ye social media pros, ya lured me in...now what have you got for me....
Well...picked up this of four from the “brewery” bottled...yesterday. Ya...these guys are as fresh as you can get folks....
Though the glass......you see.....pshaw! Nothing, as it should be!
This beauty pours orange juice thick and pure just like their twitter feed captured. oh, you beast....gorgeous collar greets thee too ....a perfect score for you!
Nose here is wonderful: mango and peach welcomes you with slight pine at the end.
Taste is thick, rich, and balanced. Very easy to drink and subtle bitterness will make the whole experience grand.
Ladies and gentlemen, forget the frills, forget the big budgets, forget the glamour and run to these guys, on a Saturday, and grab this beauty.
Badlands really impresses where it matters most....inside the bottle!
