This beer is named after that awesome kid who attended our first year birthday party and, while in the process of spray painting our "tag it" wall, decided he would upgrade his shoe color to a dazzling gold. Luckily his parents were also pretty cool about the whole DIY shoe upgrade. We love your DIY spirit; stay Golden, kid.
This beer is one of our favorite 2 hop combos: Simcoe/Mosaic. This years version features a more expressive fermentation profile, which helps emphasize some big berry notes that then lead into tangerine and dank citrus. Real yummy mc yummerton

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones with some dank tangerine notes and a semi-sweet finale. Taste is also a good mix of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones with some dank tangerine notes and a semi-sweet finish. Body is full for style with a creamy feel with good carbonation. Enjoyable NEIPA with dank tangerine notes but lacking proper attenuation.

On tap at Donnelly’s Public House in Fairport, NY.
This one pours a fairly hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells pretty tropical and juicy, mango, melon, and grapefruit.
This was extremely juicy – it’s tasty, but I do kind of wish there was a bit more bitterness here. It’s got lots of stone fruit, lots of tropical fruit, and it’s all very soft.
This is medium bodied, creamy, and pretty soft, and quite drinkable.
This will scratch the itch for people who love this style, but it falls a little bit too over the top here.

Hazy, tan/orange with foamy head and abundant lacing. Smells of tangerine and melon. Maybe orange zest. Citrus and melon come through on the taste. Oily, hop-saturated tastes linger to a little dryness. The honey dew melon seems to be the dominate taste for me. Maybe that's the "dank citrus" described on the label. Not as enjoyable as the other Badlands offerings but still way above many competing hazy IPAs brewed in Ontario. Looking forward to more brews from Badlands.

Even the prince of IPAs can't be flawless. This one is probably the weaker of those I have tried from Badlands. Neither the head, the nose and most importantly the taste works quite well. The nose is kind of dirty and the flavour is neither quite citrusy, nor quite hoppy and it's a bit watery.
The name of the beer is thus far Badlands' best however.
