Did we trade beer for a sweet, wood stained table? Yes, yes we did. This was the beer we exchanged in a true throwback to a time before currency; where things such as lumber and ale ruled supreme.
You can still find this table in the beer bus to the left side of the bar/serving area. It is beautiful and was built by Mike's brother in law, Shavin. We appreciate him.
This years version of Lumber for Ale features a heavy dosing of Simcoe hops with an accent of Cashmere. We taste dense notes of orange citrus, pineapple, and tropical fruit.

Pouring pale with an aggressive head, the nose on this one isn't very strong, but is of nice citrus, a bit of lemon and lactose sugar (though I don't think that's in here). The taste has nice wood notes and lactose, but it also slightly tart. Over-carbonated with a bit of a hop burn as well too acidic.
A nice tasting beer from Badlands, though the feel is not the best.

Review from notes. Served cool into a pint glass.
Appearance - Super hazy pale yellowy beer. A couple fingers of loose white head and good staying power.
Smell - A touch of pine, some weedy aspects and a healthy dose of orange, mango and grapefruit following all that up.
Taste - Just like the nose. Lots of fruit up front, but balanced, semi-sweet with weedy and pine elements towards the end. Strong wheat malt backbone.
Mouthfeel - Smooth, creamy, crushable.
Overall - Yet another excellent IPA from Badlands.
