For this collab we settled on one rule: make a DIPA that is different. We started by changing out every malt we would typically use in a DIPA with brands or varieties we had never tried. After that we immediately decided that no "sexy" hops could be used (we love ya, but your cut Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy). We then tweaked up the water profile and mash regimen and before you knew it we were staring at a brew sheet/beer that didn't look very familiar at all, but definitely looked delicious. We were excited.
Dry hopped with the extremely common IPA combo of Belma, for its strawberry notes, Azacca for its candied mango and mixed tropical fruit notes, and Bru-1 for its pineapple, and peach cobbler vibes, this beer doesn't quite taste like any IPA we've tried, and it's absolutely delicious.

My number one and top 5 favourite brewery decided to go at it together. Here is the result.
Pours very pale yellow with lace retention. The nose is initially quite stinky, but it then turns rather muted, with some tobacco. The taste is somewhat of a disappointment. Notes of dirt, hint of cod liver oil, all with a slightly thin body.
I feel a slight Blood Brothers dominance, but no one should dominate Badlands, as they make the best IPA in these parts.
Not sure about this one.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
