Perspective is a beer to mark the intensely insane transition period we went through with our new brewery build out and now also our new canning line/storage building!
We are still a very young brewery by any standard, but even in this short period of time, so much has changed for us. Sometimes it’s necessary to look back and take stock of where we’ve been when looking at the present and thinking about the future. We hope we can use this beer as a means to give you a peek behind the curtain chez Badlands on an annual basis.
For this beer we reached all the way back to Dora #1 for inspiration. Using the same base recipe and our current day processes, this beer was hopped with Citra and Columbus. We taste loads of citrus, papaya and mango propped up on our signature soft and creamy malt body.

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones and some light tropical hops notes and with a semi-dry finale. Taste is also a good mix of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones notes, some tropical hops notes and a semi-dry finale. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable NEIPA with nice tropical focus floral hops notes with creamy notes.

Creamy and tropical fruit tasty. Lots of lace, what's not to like, a well executed NEIPA circa 2022.

This pours very pale yellow, with a citrusy lactose nose. And it is lactose that I find dominant in the taste as well, even though there is likely none in here. Soft and pillowy, as well as thin. Not bad, but not one of their better ones.
