We got together with our friends at Third Moon to brew a DIPA!
For our version we used a modified DIPA malt base with a little higher proportion of oats.
This beer was hopped entirely with the hops from the fine folks at Freestyle hops. We used Mega Motueka in the whirlpool (which is composed of Phantasm and a selected lot of Motueka high in thiols) and then we dry hopped it with their less sexy hop varieties: Rakau, New Zealand Cascade and Motueka. These hops are absolutely A1 level delicious. We taste white grape, apricot, crushed lime and that trademark New Zealand dank we love so much.
