A beer to honor the tree on the property that has bikes in it. When Grace's brother was a kid he and some friends put a couple bikes in a tree (the tree was much smaller back then). In time the tree grew, and the bikes stayed up there (in fact, technically as it grew it got more up there, so to speak).
Years went by, every now and then it was remembered. You take a look, have a laugh, reminisce. Slowly the tree grew around the bikes, making them more than just bike and tree, two separate entities longing for togetherness. They are now one: Bike Tree, the holiest of unions.
This years version was hopped with Nelson and Riwaka from our friends at freestyle hops, making it more delicious than ever. We taste all that New Zealand hops have to offer! Gooseberry, tropical fruit, ripe mixed berries.

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones and some light tropical hops notes and with a semi-dry finale. Taste is also a good mix of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones notes, some tropical hops notes and a semi-dry finale. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable NEIPA with nice tropical focus floral hops notes with creamy notes.

Even by the elevated standards of Badlands, this is an exceptional IPA. Hazy with lots of lacing. Hopped with Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka, it's got a ton of gooseberry and ripe kiwi on the nose and palate. There's a mint/epazote thing going on, too. Thumbs up.
