An imperial stout with Madagascar vanilla beans aged in Heaven Hill and Willet barrels.
Inky is the product of much patience, struggle and a focused eye to the future. A beer that was near impossible for us to make 15 months ago, but one we’ve been wanting to make for years.
We’re thrilled to be able to share it with you now.
As per the base beer, it is packaged still (i.e. uncarbonated)

500ml bottle served cold into a beer mug. Imperial stout with Madagascar vanilla aged in Heaven Hill and Willet barrels. No bottling date, but this is labelled as 2022 vintage.
Appearance - With no carbonation and oily black brew is released from its confines into the glass. No head just a slick dark beer.
Smell - Bourbon, vanilla, some roasty notes and hints of chocolate.
Taste - Intense bourbon and vanilla flavors with some roasty bitterness. Intensity of the flavors is off the charts. Boozy yet super smooth and the burn isn't there in the mouth or really in the back of the throat either.
Mouthfeel - Slick initially, then chewy. Full bodied and with no carbonation to speak of. Pretty easy to drink for such a big beer, but definitely a sipper due to the intensity.
Overall - An intense experience with no carbonation and huge palate coating flavors, vast smoothness. Well worth a try, but probably an ideal beer to share with a friend (or two) as the intensity is so high.

Initial samples says Good bourbon character. It's very interesting. In fact,it becomes one-dimensional after a quarter of the bottle. I think Too much bourbon but still drinkable
