This was the first beer in our "Spotlight Caledon" series, where we highlight the varied attractions, natural beauties, and landmarks in and around the Caledon/Headwaters area.
The Forks of the Credit is a beautiful Provincial Park right in our backyard. It is both a part of the Niagara Escarpment biosphere and the Bruce Trail, which runs from Niagara all the way to Tobermory.
The park is known for its scenic trails and beautiful water features and is well worth a trip on a nice summer, spring or fall day (it’s fine in the winter, but let’s be honest, it’s less pretty).
Hopped with Galaxy, Simcoe and Motueka, this beer is gushing with notes of citrus, pineapple, and peaches. The perfect companion for a nature stroll and observing waterfalls.

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones with some tangerine notes and a semi-dry finale. Taste is also a good mix of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones with tangerine notes and a semi-dry finish. Body is full for style with a creamy feel with good carbonation. Enjoyable NEIPA with a nice tangerine twist and a semi-dry finish.

2024 rendition. Canned May 1, 2024. Served cold into a pint glass.
Appearance - Hazy & whitish gold with two and a half fingers of frothy white head and excellent retention.
Smell - Subdued nose of citrus with pineapple and grapefruit being most prominent.
Taste - Matches the nose but again kind of subdued. Apple skins make an appearance too.
Mouthfeel - Crisp and well carbonated, easy to drink.
Overall - A good IPA, but Badlands has such an extensive catalogue that it's hard to say this one stands out as being one of their better ones.

Spotlighting Caledon - nice. This one pours mustard thick, nice collar - very nice pour. Nose is light grasses, pineapple and citrus goodness. Similar to their March DIPA this one is woody forward with light finish. Not their greatest but decent.
