The monthly DIPA series is our neutral, hop ready canvas to play around with all things DIPA. The goal for the series is not only to bring you at least one DIPA per month, but also to allow us to push our base DIPA recipe in any number of directions with the goal of ultimately tweaking, refining and improving every DIPA in our lineup.
This month decided to go entirely southern hemisphere with our hopping choices. It was hopped primarily with Nelson and Motueka and then a dash of Vic Secret and Enigma to add some additional layers of yum-town to it. Frankly this blend took us a bit by surprise. We expected it to be a good beer no doubt, but we are very jazzed about how these hops used in these ratios came together.
We taste mixed notes of tropical fruit, lime, gooseberry and pineapple with some delightfully well placed dank notes.

Two year anniversary of misery calls for…..Badlands of course. Their monthly DIPa will whisk away all memories of bad times. A light yellow melon opaque pour with this collar greets thee. Nose is heavy wood forward grainy goodness. Burnt gunpowder overpowers and fruit here. First sip follows the smoky nose with hickory, earthy mouth and rich finish. These DIPAs have evolved over time and this strays from their usual citrus bombs so just know that. Not my absolute favorite but for March the complexity of this one works. Would I want it in July no but….it’s march so drink up. This one kicks winter to the curb well.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
