This past fall we had the great pleasure of being able to travel to Yakima and select hops. Hops are, to put it mildly, extremely important to the production of hoppy beer, and it’s no secret we produce quite a lot of hoppy beer, making hops all the more important to us and our brewery.
This year we selected for the varietal Simcoe. Straight up, two years in a row now, every single lot that was presented to us on the table was bangin’. It felt more like selecting through a spoil of riches than anything else, and in the end we feel like we chose a lot of Simcoe that smells better than anything that has ever come across our olfactory system.
We’re thrilled to be able to share our selection of Simcoe with you.

Okay. The second #Select selection from Badlands. Hope it's better than the first (Idaho 7).
Pours as pale as I am. The nose is of delicious honey, citrus, and apricot seeds. The feel is smooth and taste lovely, with front loading notes of grassy hops and citrus. Really, quite nice.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
