A beer brewed in collaboration with our friends from Brasserie du Bas-Canada for our 5th anniversary.
For this beer we drew inspiration from their delectable Roman emperor series of DIPAs and chose to illustrate Marcus Aurelius, the last of the “five good emperors” of Rome (see Gladiator for your Hollywood re-enactment of his final days. It’s also just a great flick).
As per the theme of our anniversary this year, this beer was brewed exclusively with hops selected by Brasserie du Bas-Canada. Hopped with Citra and Citra only, it is good and you should drink it with your mouth.

It took a couple of weeks, but I am finally giving this a try. Brewed in collaboration with Brasserie du Bas-Canada, with hops selected by those folks (Citra, so I am looking for good things only).
Pours fair, a pale yellow. The nose is Citra citrus, with hints of wood. That means it's good.
The taste is as well. Ever so slightly tart, but not like Nelson Sauvin, which may have ruined things. Here, it's tolerable. Lingering mango aftertaste, probably the longest note I had for a while. Also booze on that tale.
It's decent, though I think Badlands would have selected better Citra hops. Still, worth having this.
