The monthly DIPA series is our neutral, hop ready canvas to play around with all things DIPA. The goal for the series is not only to bring you at least one DIPA per month, but also to allow us to push our base DIPA recipe in any number of directions with the goal of ultimately tweaking, refining and improving every DIPA in our lineup.

For September we modified our malt base in search of increased softness, because lets be honest, soft fluffy hops is the best kind of hops. We've been obsessing over this for years in all aspects of our process/recipe development, but we feel like we may be on to something here!

We then dry hopped it with Galaxy, El Dorado and Idaho 7. We taste a mix of pineapple, ruby red grapefruit, mixed citrus.

473 ml can. Super fresh canned September 7, 2022. Served cold into a tulip.

Appearance - Hazy, chalky / milky colored yellowy brew. Super hazy. Two fingers of white head on top, they last for a little while.

Smell - Lightly tropical, there's something a little funky that reminded me of the ocean. Medium intensity but hard to nail it down.

Taste - Some orange initially, lots of wheat, then dank weediness. Quite bitter to close. Maybe too green? Booziness with bitterness is a bit harsh. Still tasty, just not quite as smooth as I expected,

Mouthfeel - Full bodied, sort of creamy, a little juicy and then bone dry to close.

Overall - Tasty enough, but a relative miss at least for me compared to other Badlands brews that I've enjoyed.
