The monthly DIPA series is our neutral, hop ready canvas to play around with all things DIPA. The goal for the series is not only to bring you at least one DIPA per month, but also to allow us to push our base DIPA recipe in any number of directions with the goal of ultimately tweaking, refining and improving every DIPA in our lineup.
This month, being that it is the month of Valentines Day/love, we decided we wanted to use some hops that we've been crushing on. Hopped with Citra (our OG hop crush), Idaho 7 and a particularly expressive lot of Cashmere that throws some flavours reminiscent of New Zealand terroir.
We taste Ruby red grapefruit, papaya, citrus and some danky tropical fruit. It’s awesome.

I haven't had Badlands' monthly DIPA for a while and they are usually very nice, so I am looking forward to trying this one.
Not the most attractive pour, in fact this looks rather ugly. Light brownish dirty yellow. Yikes. The head forms and dissipates the usual way. The nose is okay, with citrus and seeds.
Hm. The taste seems off. Tart, with an odd balance of earth tones and citrus. Very boozy.
This one is a disappointment. I bet it's New Zealand hops in here. Man, those mess up nearly every beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
