A DIPA brewed with our friends and hop selection partners: Blood Brothers and Third Moon for our sixth anniversary.

This year we decided once again to rip another “master” blend of some of our best hop selections from this past year in collaboration with the fine folks whom we select hops with.

Hopped with the holy Pacific Northwest trifecta of Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe, this beer is big, beautiful and fruit laden. Quite literally the product of multiple years of hop selection refinement, we couldn’t be more proud of this beer and the people who help make it possible! We love you dudes!

Canned 8/16/23

The ever generous Coronaeus sent me a LIF box containing some local-to-him beer and some other crazy stuff. I got quite a few from Badlands, so it should be interesting to get this snippet of their lineup. Let’s see what their DIPA game is all about

Pours a hazy pale gold with 3 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves nice lacing

The nose is very dank, leaning tropical with a nice bitterness. I’m picking up on aromas of dank weed, underripe cantaloupe, orange juice, peppery hops, lime zest, grass, light papaya, and bready malt

It’s pretty similar in taste, with just a touch more bitterness. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting papaya, red grapefruit, orange juice, earthy hops, dank weed, bready malt, grass, lime zest, and cantaloupe. The swallow brings notes of bready malt, dank weed, earthy hops, papaya, red grapefruit, orange zest, grass, and light honey

A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes a tad sticky but the bitterness cleans it up nice

This is a good introduction to the brewery, damn solid all around

can from Badlands. Same brewers, a new annual blend. Citra, mosaic and simcoe. Masterful blend. Very balanced with much more flavour, less alcohol showing.

Badlands hooked up with another couple of my favourite breweries to create this.
Pours relatively pale with strong head. The nose has earthy tones and honey. The taste relies on the earthy part quite heavily. A solid beer.
