The monthly DIPA series is our neutral, hop ready canvas to play around with all things DIPA. The goal for the series is not only to bring you at least one DIPA per month, but also to allow us to push our base DIPA recipe in any number of directions with the goal of ultimately tweaking, refining and improving every DIPA in our lineup.

For November we decided to put together 3 awesome New Zealand hops for a decidedly southern hemisphere experience. Hopped with Motueka, Nectaron, and Superdelic we taste a medley of lemon lime citrus, danky pineapple and ripe tropical fruit.

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hoppy notes with some light tropical floral hops undertones and dank notes. Taste is also a good mix of citrusy hoppy notes with some tropical juicy citrus hops notes and floral undertones and some residual sugar with dank notes. Body is full with good carbonation. Solid double NEIPA with a nice mix of tropical flavors.

473ml can served cold into a pint glass. Durand purchase and canned November 8, 2023. Review from notes.

Appearance - Very hazy yellowy beer with white highlights. A generous two finger head has good staying power.

Smell - Peach and apricot, tinges of other general citrus. Wheat malt backbone.

Taste - Matches the nose, fairly sweet with peach and apricot leading the way, a little bit of bitterness, some fleeting citrus all over a wheat malt beer. Cohesive and pretty tasty with a tiny bit of tartness.

Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied, juicy, crushable and medium-light carbonation.

Overall - A very well brewed and enjoyable DIPA. One of the better ones from Badlands.

Superior DIPA as most of their DIPA turns out to be. Hazy with some lasting head and lacing. Nice hoppy-malty aroma yielding citrus. Citrus treat to drink.

Will November be better than October was?
I hope so.
Pours a beautiful yellow with a generous head. The nose is also near point: the hops veer towards apricot seed (which is my favourite scent in an IPA) and light honey with citrus.
Slightly over-carbonated, but the taste is great. Earthy citrus, albeit ever so slightly tart. Overall, worth the admission.
