The new Inky from Badlands arrived - the first to be sealed by red wax (but still easy to open, unlike some other waxed beer bottles).
Pours dark with very little carbonation. The nose is of bourbon (of course), but also figs and caramel. The taste is sweet with the notes found in the nose, but also coffee and some chocolate. Sticky and boozy finish.
It has now come to be that Badlands manages to not only brew the best IPAs around, but now also one of the better BBA Stouts.
