Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes with vanilla notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes and vanilla notes with residual sugar notes. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with light discernible alcohol notes. Enjoyable BA stout on the sweet side.

One of the new stouts produced for Badlands' 8th anniversary.
Let's dig in.
Pours black of course with no carbonation. Somehow it still manages a tiny ring of mocha ring. Fig, vanilla and bourbon dominates the nose.
The carbonation missing is a bummer as always. The body also has notes of nuts.
A bit too sweet. Very boozy finish.
Badlands does nice BBA stouts, but when there is too much vanilla and no carbonation, it's not quite a home run.
