Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes with light vanilla notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes and vanilla notes with residual sugar notes. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with light discernible alcohol notes. Solid BA stout with a sweet finale.

The third of four BBA aged stouts that came out for Badlands' 8th anniversary. The other two were just okay. A tad bit sweet and barely any carbonation.
How is this one then? I'm expecting the same.
Let's see. Black pour - check. Barely any carbonation - a bit better, but still wanting (though the mocha ring is lovely while it lasts). The nose - the same as the other two - bourbon, figs, vanilla, and sweetness. The taste - a bit too sweet again, but perhaps not quite as bad as the other two. Very boozy finish, obviously.
May be the best thus far, but again, if we could just have less vanilla, that would be great.
