Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some deep bourbon notes with light vanilla notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some deep bourbon notes and vanilla notes with residual sugar notes. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with light discernible alcohol notes. Solid triple BA stout with a sweet finale and nice woody notes.

The last of the four stouts released for Badlands' eighth anniversary. The other three were similar in that they were good, but all too sweet and without enough carbonation.
This too pours black and sadly this too has zero head, which means no real carbonation. The nose too is almost the same bourbon, figs, dates, and caramel sweetness. And again. The taste is a bit too sweet.
So really, neither of the four is too different. They are all decent, but either missing elements or need to have some removed.
